Rockwell RK5102K Sonicrafter Deluxe 72-pc Kit

I had looked at the Fein Multimaster, but couldn't justify the price. I bought the Sonicrafter specifically to sand between the rails of a baby crib I built for my daughter. This tool will see as much use as my random orbital sander! It's very well made, and does a superb job. A couple of experiential comments: 1. The tool is a fast worker, let IT do the work for you. 2. The dust collection attachment gets in the way, and is useless. 3. I haven't found a source for sanding pads that fit, except Rockwell, and they're relatively expensive.

FULLER 130-7722 17-Piece Combo SAE/Metric Hex Key Set

Very durable, high-quality set. I was looking for a self-contained set rather than loose keys, and this one has come in quite handy. Only problem is when you're working in a very tight space - the set is obviously bulkier than loose keys and you have no room to maneuver this set in very small spaces. Other than that, it's a great product.

Irwin Industrial Tool 53227 Hex Head Multi-Spline Extractor Set 25 PC

These are nice. Note that the photo is from the "old style" box,(the new style box is three rows of extractors). Near as I can tell, these are identical to the set sold by Snap-On for about $100.

The flutes are *sharp* (which is good to get a good grip without expanding the hole). I did a quick test and a gentle tap with the end of a screwdriver was all that was needed to get these to "grab"

This is a great toy for the whole family. Once you get the focusing part down and taking a picture at the same time, it is great. We also bought some pre-made slides that are great to look at as well. Have not used the video function yet, but that should be pretty cool once we get there.

This flashlight is actually four products in one. There are three identical flashlights, each with two AA batteries, and a separate holder which combines the three into one flashlight. It is a bit like a transformer! The three flashlights slide into the center holder. The center piece has tripod legs that allow the 3-in-1 to stand upright, while the individual lights each have a tilt-able lens.

Stanley 95-112 Tripod LED Flashlight

The tripod design is a great idea. The frame is also well constructed, and has quality feel.
However, they must have sourced some lousy/cheap LED. The brightness pales in comparison to a LED flashlight that operates on 2 AA batteries, and this is in the brightest setting with all 6 LEDs on and brand new batteries.

IRWIN 394001 Bolt Grip Bolt Remover Set

Most tools of this type are overrated, and I was sceptical when I saw this one advertised. However, I ran into a situation at work where I had to remove some badly rusted and rounded over bolts from the exhaust manifold of a piece of earthmoving machinery, and none of the standard methods worked. After trying for 3 hours, I finally bought a set of Bolt Grips. They really worked. I had all 3 bolts out in less than 5 minutes. I am sold on these things.

Black & Decker BDSL10 36-Inch Gecko Grip Level with Accu Mark

I have this level and think it is a great tool. I have textured walls in my home. My wife is constantly moving around pictures as she adds more and more from our kids. I have always found it very difficult to use laser levels as they don't tell me where to put the hole only if the picture is level. There are 2 features that make this level unique: 1. The gecko grips, while holding the level with my left hand I am able to drill the hole exactly where it needs to be for the picture hook because of the grips. The grips also do not leave marks on my wall like other levels. 2. The adjustable holes for picture hanging.

Alden Grabit Broken Bolt and Damaged Screw Extractors, 4-Piece Set

I recently took down a metal gazebo on my deck. The 2.5" deck screws that held the gazebo in place were stripped and the tops were rusted. I tried every tool I had to remove them and they wouldn't even budge. I was afraid they'd never come out and I'd have to shave them down. After ordering the 4-piece Grabit tool, I read the instructions and within 5 minutes I had extracted all of the deck screws. I was overjoyed!!!

After that, I immediately went inside the house to extract two very small & stripped screws that were in a bedroom wall. It took two turns of stripping and extracting the screws, and then Viola! Worked again!

After half a century of living, I'm not easily impressed, but I know I will be using this super-handy opener constantly. I received mine yesterday, tried it out on a hard clamshell package of inkjet cartridges, and I am delighted!
