Hitachi NT65MA2 15 Gauge 1-1/4-Inch to 2 1/2-Inch Angled Finish Nailer

Hitachi NT65MA2 15 Gauge 1-1/4-Inch to 2 1/2-Inch Angled Finish Nailer

This 15-gauge finish nailer drives standard 1 1/4- to 2- 1/2-inch nails straight into nearly any material you might have a problem with. It packs plenty of power for setting long nails in most woods, too. If you’re really creative you can jam this tool, but clearing the mess is easy with a quick-release nose. This nailer features a padded handle, directional exhaust, a drive depth adjustment, and it weighs only 4.2 pounds. A tough, nylon magazine aligns with the handle to help keep weight down and prevent bending or denting. A selective trigger means no more wasteful double fires. It also features a tool-less drive depth and handy dust blower.

Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge 3/4-Inch to 2-Inch Brad Nailer

Hitachi NT50AE2 18 Gauge 3/4-Inch to 2-Inch Brad Nailer

The NT50AE2 is the ideal 18-gauge finish nailers for trim work, furniture and other finish applications. It accepts 5/8- to 2-inch, 18-gauge fasteners. The new selective actuation switch lets the user easily select bump fire actuation for quick brad nailing when precise placement is not required. By simply flipping the switch, the user transitions to sequential fire for specific nail placement. At only 2.2 pounds this nailer is well-balanced and lightweight to make finish work a breeze. The elastomer grip adds comfort while preventing slippage. The visual nail reload indicator located on the magazine alerts the user when nail quantities are low so that blank drives are avoided. The NT50AE2 features a tool-less, easy-to-clear nose for quick and simple nail extraction should a nail jam during use. It has been engineered with the safety behind the narrow nosepiece and a short center height to allow for nail placement in hard to reach areas and into tight corners. A simple turn of the depth of drive dial allows the user to easily adjust the drive depth, accommodating woods of varying density for a professional finish every time. The new no-mar tip on the nose protects the work piece from markings. An easy to use 360 degree adjustable exhaust port keeps dust, debris and oil off the finish project.

Hitachi NR90AD Clipped Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer

Framing_Nailer.jpg
I purchased two of these new models based on the experience that I have had with the NR83aa2's. Keep in mind that I run a framing crew and we rely on these guns all day every day. The gun shoots excellent. However, there is a piece of metal that acts as a lever for the retaining clip. On both of my newly purchased NR90ad's this piece of metal broke within the first three weeks and three weeks later I am still waiting for the parts. Long story short, that one one particular part that was poorly designed has turned what would normally be a great gun into a worthless piece of metal until those parts come in. 2-15-2005

Milwaukee 7100-20 Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer

 Framing_Nailer.jpg

I am a General Contractor and I have used a few different framing nailers over the last year. I have tried Porter Cable (I hope you like nail jams), Hitachi (double fire king, but never dies), and Max (could get a really good gun or a piece of jamming crap, just depends on which box comes off the shelf). I purchased the Milwaukee due to raving reviews, but when I received it I saw that it was made in Taiwan. Damn. Unless you want a Bostich (made by Stanley), it looks like you're out of luck when it comes to finding a framing nailer made in America. I almost returned it for the familiar and job site dominant Hitachi, but I decided to keep it and I am very glad I did. The nailer is super light, very, very smooth, and I can adjust it to sink nails in sheathing without breaking the top ply, which is code

Porter-Cable FR350A Round Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer

Framing_Nailer.jpg

Very Well Balanced Machine, little fatigue during the day. Great hands-free depth adjustment. Extremely easy to load, advance and clear. You can change from restrictive to sequential fire easily on the trigger.

My Hitachi can now be retired, I will not go back, this is my framing nailer of choice. As another reviewer seems to have found out, this is not an appearance nailer, for something like siding you may want to try the Porter-Cable RN175A Coil. I have had no problems sinking 16D's in even engineered lumber. For everyday use the 350A is highly recommended.

Porter-Cable CFNBNS Three Nailer and Compressor Combo Kit

Nailer_and_Compressor.jpg

The 120-volt, 10-amp pump not only provides a continuous air supply for the nail and staple guns, but the portable 6-gallon air tank can supply up to 150 psi of air for other tools in your shop or garage. Not only do you get an oil-free, maintenance-free pump with 40 feet of quality 1/4–inch air hose and 2 couplers, but the three nailer stapler guns are like having an extra set of hands in the shop. No longer do you have to clamp two pieces of wood together so that you can hold a nail or brad in one hand and a hammer in the other. In the workshop you can use the brad nailer for fastening smaller wood projects or the ¼-inch stapler for installing items such as screen wire, low voltage wiring, upholstery, furniture coverings, or any project where a staple can be used in place of a screw. Switch to the 16-gauge finish nail gun and use ¾-inch nails for casing and moldings, or 2-1/2-inch nails for securing baseboard, moldings, door frames, jambs, etc
